Why would you eliminate the Davy Crockett canoes (oh yeah, most WDW guests wouldn't fit or would tip them over due to obesity)?

Why would you eliminate the Keelboats?

Why would you eliminate the Diamond Horsehoe Review?

Why would you eliminate the Skyway/

Why would you eiminate EVERY attraction on Main Street?

The answer to all of the above is the same: $$$.

<<It seems like it would be very popular with most of the folks at MK. It sounds like it could only add to the Magic. I'm really sorry I never had the opportunity to experience them.>>

Believe it or not, the Swan Boats were a 'D' Ticket.

But they were simple. A 15-minute tour of the Hub waterways into the edge of Adventureland and back ... with a CM/pilot giving you a spiel.

    But they added kinetics ...

I would think you could find it somewhere in your budget for these small simple pleasure at a park that seems to slowly be loosing it's idenity.

The MK has been plunging full-speed ahead into the generic Disney character kiddieland magic park for a decade now.

And it just gets worse all the time. From Disney's merchandising people dropping all pretense of Main Street USA being anything but a giant World of Disney store with turn of the century facades.

To having almost no entertainment and no real quality atmospheric entertainment.

To adding insulting attractions like Stich's Great Belch-off and Monsters Lack of Laughs Floor.

No ... this has been going on for years.

This is why Phil Holmes must go!

That is the reason I said slowly. All of these changes didn't all happen at once or overnight. I'm still trying to understand how you can build a ride like Expedition Everest in one park, that cost 100 million plus, and remove so many things that gave the MK it's character. All of these rides cost money to build, and to replace them with nothing sure seems such a waste.

interestingly, many of the attraction disney world have away are still enjoying popularity. the canoes aren't a major attraction by any means, but at disneyland there is always a line and people seem to enjoy trying to paddle around the river.
at the golden horseshoe billy and hillbillies is a full house for most performances. i think if the Diamond horseshow had a good performing group it could be popular as well. To just leave the building empty though is horrible.
WDW takes out it subs, the reopening of the disneyland subs is causing the most excitement of a new attraction that i have seen in years. and the lagoon looks gorgeous.
While i am happy after years of neglect disneyland is sparkling again, it is sad to see what is happening to WDW's magic kingdom.
when i went in 2004, the park seemed to have seen better days.it was depressing seeing the two empty skyway buildings, the empty circle vision, the various empty docks of the river attractions. it seems like it has gotten worse, not better.

I had an absolute BLAST on the canoes at WDW back in '87 and totally completely loved getting tto ride them again when I was at DL for the 50th. Especially loved that my canoe was all LPers and we got to do a 360 in the canoe. Yay for those magical CMs that sunny July 15th! :)

I expect the Adventureland restaurant will be overpriced. Maybe they will even increase holiday pricing, like Cinderellas castle.
