If JoBros will bring in more CASH, then they may take the front stage. Alien Encounter was a fairly new attraction, and I thought it was pretty good. REPLACED by STITCH which I have no use for.... Just look at what will make the most $$$$$$$ and that is what will win. Still can't figure how a grassy noll makess more money than 20,000 Leagues, but I guess it does. ID

The exterior is not, but once inside, it is. The story is slightly different in that you are recording a music video instead of a journey to a concert. You then load up into the vehicle, and are launched at a higher velocity than WDW's (RNRC in Paris is Disney's fastest coaster). The track is the same, but all 5 cars have a different sound track and lighting sequence. The lighting rigs and smoke machines make it very disorientating. And I love it (especially as it is often a walk on). Sadly, like most things Disney these days, it rarely works the way the imagineers designed it. But yes, like almost everything in Paris, it is better than Florida's version.

I've caught the Jonas Bros. on SNL and the Today Show in the past few months -- I think they're quite terrible actually. And this is comparing them to their pop-born peers -- Jesse McCartney, Taylor Swift, Zac Efron et al. Remember Hanson? As for Aerosmith -- I'm surprised they're receiving so much support. Like REO Speedwagon, Styx, Journey, and Chicago -- Steven Tyler and his bandmates might be popular; even legendary -- but I wonder if there's a certain percentage of guests who just shrug (Aero-who?), or chuckle (wow, they're on a theme park ride? Times must be tough), or wouldn't care which aging rock stars are showcased -- and wouldn't change their riding habits if JoBros were there. My biggest issue -- Like using the filmed footage of Ellen DeGeneres and Jamie Lee Curtis in Energy, or Martin Short in Canada, or that Monty Python dude in Imagination, or Hans and Frans in Wonders of Life -- after a very short period of time, It all starts to look VERY dated. That's a big consideration -- even switching out Aerosmith for the Jonas Brothers. Once the footage is in the can, Nick's voice will have changed again, or Bob will have grown another foot, or the lame, bubble gum single they're singing today is tomorrow's 'mmm-bop' and it all looks and sounds dated again. That's why the original 'Universe of Energy' pre-show movie worked so well, and for so long -- it was timeless.

I was beginning to think I was the only one with this thought. Musically, they are almost average but vocally they are horrible. The nasal singing is bad enough but then the high end cracking at the end of a line... on every line... is just plain bad. The really embarrassing appearance was the last Grammys when they were paired with Stevie Wonder. Just a bad performance all around butchering classic Stevie.

Using a fictitious band might have alleviated this problem. I wonder what Disney would do if one of the band members died, especially if it was Steven Tyler or Joe Perry (who have speaking roles in the pre-show)?

Hmmm, take away and charge more, yeah, that works for me (NOT) ID
