Originally Posted By FerretAfros "One why take out the spirit of Walt Disney!!!?" I was never convinced that the concept of the character would be understood by audiences. It makes sense if you know it's there (like the neon leaves and wind in Pocahontas are the spirit of her mother, but if you don't know it they're just weird), but it's really difficult to give a jet of water a personality. I'm sure they would understand that there's this random orange thing coming back between segments, but since it didn't really seem to add much story, and took a lot of explaining, I don't think it's the biggest loss ever. It was a cute idea, but it never seemed all that practical. As for the Chernabog tower, I hope they are able to fix it, since it seem like it's pretty important for the show. I guess they could alway show the animation on the mist screen in front of where the tower is supposed to be, but that's kind of a letdown for the big finale. Also, I believe it's also used for Zurg in the Buzz Lightyear segment, so it might be needed there also. I hadn't heard about any fire effects on it until recently, but those sound pretty neat too. One of the good things about this show, from a maintanence stand point, is that there are very few moving parts that can break. Unfortunately, many of the moving parts are all in the telescoping tower, which means that it will have more problems than most things. Hopefully it will be fixed and working consistantly by the time the show opens.

I think we should just take it one day at a time, and if soft openings happen, or Chernabog reappears in the show, or another minute or two is cut from the show length, then that's what's going to happen.

In order to prevent a mutiny by the Anaheim Cast Members, Cast Member Previews are now being quickly thrown together for five separate shows spread between June 6th and 7th, held after regular park closing time. If things continue to go well, there's a chance that at least a couple of soft openings during regular park hours might show up before June 9th. - Al Lutz

Originally Posted By DlandDug >>So it appears Alice In Wonderland has not been cut!<< Not really. There is an image that shows an Alice scene that has, up to this time, not been seen in any test runs. There were any number of scenes tested out in the weeks before the show was assembled in its present form. Seeing an image of one in a promotional sight doesn't mean it's part of the show. bear in mind that all promotional material, to this day, for Toy STory Midway Mania refers to the attraction as "Toy Story Mania." The promotions may not always precisely reflect exactly what is being presented.
