Even though most schools are still on vacation, many start the year in August, also an incredibly hot and humid month and hurricane season starts then too. A two month refurb starting in June would be a peek season, no discounting or free dining then. Two months starting in August is probably best as it's between the summer crowds and the Halloween/Food and Wine crowds.
