    Holiday: Oct-Jan

it would be kinda odd hearing "Rudolph" in October.

I think it only costs around like $7,000 tochhhange out the show should be easier for WDW to do then it was for DL to do even though they only rotated two shows cuz they had 2 theaters wheras WDW only has 1. besides I think the humor in the vacation Show is way funnier then the original. I mean Wendell isn't nearly as funny in Original as he is in Vacation & Christmas.

It's like the Subs at Disneyland, they're the same basic concept and vehicles, but plussed for the 21st century. Disney could easily (well, with money, of course) update the CBJ show for the 21st century too. Why couldn't they let WDI have fun with it and let them program a more "interactive" show that has variable options each time it's viewed. Have several interchangeable numbers that appear at random so you never know which song the bears will sing. Upgrade all the bear AA's to more modern standards so the movements can wow people again. Have the bears interact with each other more physically. Update the song roster with more modern acts (which has been mentioned by others above). Make it so that changing out for a Christmas or Vacation show is easier, just costumes & sets. Even then, have it so that you can have multiple sets in the theater that can be rotated at will so the changeover is effortless. Most of all, make the show relevant and fun again. Don't let it sit and gather dust just to be forgotten and closed due to lack of care. That's the saddest way to see a Disney attraction fade into yesterland...

I personally felt that most of the bears had better personalities and character in the seasonal shows. Sure, Henry, Big Al, Trixie and Teddi Barra had their personas set in the original show, but the rest of the bears appear to be very generic and plain. The seasonal shows kind of fleshed them out: Liver Lips became Elvis, Wendell accidentally gets himself into trouble, Terrence gets an animal sidekick et al...

Of course, there's always The, ahem, Music Factory with the Country Bears. :)

Don't know if its true yet or not because I haven't seen CBJ on any refurb lists yet.

They must have some "fix one bear a year" thing going because they refurbed the three Henry AAs in the past two years, and this year they gave Gomer a tune-up and his movements seem to be quicker and more fluid than they used to. But unfortunatly, in the last video I saw, Sammy's mouth wasn't even moving...seems every time they fix one problem, a new one arises. Still, at least they're showing some effort in fixing the show rather than not doing anything at all.

And to answer TDLFan's question, the reason WDW doesn't rotate all three shows is because Tokyo's CBJ has a sponsor than can give the extra funds to so, while WDW's does not.

And if no one wants to sponsor Disney attractions, could it be they no longer have the cache they once did?

Not having a sponsor is no reason for Disney not ponying up the money itself.

MOTHER: And how's the Haunted Mansion coming along?

MOTHER: Yeah, after how long? How long have I been telling you to get it refurbed? Now get your butt out of bed and get in the shower. You have a lot of work to get done before Christmas!

    PRESIDENT: (grumble)

I would love to see Disney do this, especially with characters actually created for the parks instead of just Pixar creations and Muppets (Although I do enjoy those as well).
