I wonder what ever happened to the apartment? That would be a great place for a quiet art gallery dedicated to the art of Disneyland...

    NO! NO! NO! NO!

This is making me really really really bitter and grouchy.

Man alive, is anything sacred? Does it all have to get muddied up?

I have years and years of photos of my family and friends at the staircase. How flippin' sad.

    Aye yi yi!

Back to being sad about the beautiful area being used for merch.

Another thought, slightly OT. The stairs are used for the NOS musicians and the pirates to go off stage, we've seen them there many times, I wonder where they'll head to now.

    The clearance rack?

    <sigh>

And let me state officially I'm going to thumb my nose at anyone who's posts the line about Disneyland being ever changing mumbo jumbo, I just am. So there.

Shoping at Disneyland used to be such a pleasure, you could buy wonderful things from all over the country and world, now its all just branded made in China crap.

Jeez, how many shops are needed to sell those electric whirlygig things and flashing electronic necklaces?

Disneyland, I KNOW you're reading this. Please, please, PLEASE consider taking a step backward to the old days of themed shops with really interesting and UNIQUE items which you can't find anywhere else.

The galleries on Main Street are fabulous examples. Why not a return to, say, an antiques store in Frontierland? The Star Wars store in Tomorrowland has some cool stuff, so why not take Star Trader and make it eually interesting with high-tech toys and hobbies?

By that, I mean no robotic Pluto toys, NO fake ray guns and NO whirlygigs. Puh-leez.

This is one milky cow. It has no problem supporting itself.

It's a prospect of diminishing returns IMO. Hey, you want Disneyland goodies? Stores galore a few steps away.

If they want additional retail space, may I suggest the largely unused Big Thunder Trail area?

Bring back the specialty shops unique to each land! I don't want to see pirate stuff in the Star Trader and I shouldn't be able to buy a Buzz Lightyear laser gun in Frontierland!

I so agree. I miss the shops that had different things in them. You could accually shop at Disneyland and no buy something Disney. It was great. Sounds funny, but I use to do my christmas shopping at DL. With the AP discount, it helped cut the cost and it was fun to shop there. Most people on my list never thought about shopping at DL, so I know they wont have what I bought them. Oh I miss those days. :-(
