One of our favorite places for breakfast is La Brea which is between GCH and bag check to the esplanade. We like the cafe area but there is also the take out area (it has outside tables) that has yummy breakfast and lunch items. Again for those who NEED breakfast.

We take little bags of almonds, fruit (you can buy fruit at WWS) and granola bars to have in the room as we are getting ready. IF we eat breakfast, it's more a brunch.

La Brea is also GREAT for lunch or dinner by the way and SO close to the parks and the Grand.

We also like Naples for dinner. I would go ahead and make a PS. Around a typical dinner time there is usually a wait.

If so, there is a number that you can call when you are 2 hours out to let them know you are on your way. Do this and mention the room with the daybed at that time if that is your preference. Then when you check in , ask about it again.

We have found that in asking for certain things they will take the first thing first into consideration. For instance, once we listed DTD View, King bed. We checked in and had a DTD View with 2 queens. She was able to change us to a king with a courtyard view. The king rooms have a couch that fold out into a bed which was perfect for the one night our grandson was with us :) She said to always put your preferences in order of well, preference :)

BTW, WWS now has larger cartons of milk etc. because of the Grand Villas. Not sure if they'd fit in the small refrigerators though. They also have small cartons, fruit, cereal etc. How about sending DH down to pick up a breakfast burrito or Mickey waffles while you are putting on your makeup :)

    Thanks again.>

I don't have kids but no, it isn't weird to take kids there. They have tables just for that reason. Just remember kids cannot sit at the bar and you'll be fine. I LOVE the food there. They are also very good at taking some things off if one of the foods has stuff your kids don't like.

I think since you are a guest at the GCH, getting a fastpass before everyone else is the key. I believe they let you folks in first.

I do know the servers at Ariel's will do all they can to accommodate your requests.

BBQ in disneyland was pretty good but very meat heavy, I wouldnt recommend for a vegetarian.

it is all you can eat, but not buffet they just bring more out. If I recall it doesnt include any drinks.

Lunch was a much better deal than dinner as it is the same food but they charge less.

We were there last November so things could have changed. BBQ chicken, hot links and ribs, baked beans corn on the cobb, cole slaw, corn bread and desert, (dont remember what it was though.) We left very full, the service was good but it was not very crowded so not sure about august.

For luch you might want to try the Hungry bear over there. it is counter service so it is fairly quick and it is the usual hamburgers, sandwiches and salads, but the best part is you can sit down by the river and it is a nice cool and somewhat quiet place to have a break, oh and they have FUNNNEL CAKE!

have fun!!! it sounds like you have planned well!
