They are comfy because they are a type of foam - very light and very soft - squishy - impact resistant if you prefer. I got some for the whole family - all 6 of us - each in the color of their choice.

There are other brands of this type of shoe which are almost the same but a little different. I have both Crocs and Holey Soles (www.holeysoles.com) and although they look basically the same, I find the Holey Soles to be slightly more comfortable - perhaps just a better fit for me. There are also Dawgs which I have not tried.

I will soon (May) be trying them out in DL. I am a little hesitant about wearing them there because they look - different, and do not fit securely like runners. I am sure they will be fine and I will see lots of other people wearing them ... right?

I've been wearing my Disney crocs as house shoes since last November. It just makes me happy to come home and put them on :) They still look like new. I got mine because of the thread wonderingalice started.

Heads up moment here. Last weekend I went to Nordstroms and while DH was getting new shoes I checked out the MaryJane crocs. Tried on the copper color in an 8, I usually wear an 8 1/2....pausing here to check my Disney crocs, they are a 8-9,,.anyway, so the MaryJanes were so comfy that I grabbed a pair in black too.

When I got home I saw that the black "pair" had one size 8 and one size7. Shoot! Nordstoms is 40 minutes away and I didn't plan to go back for at least a month. I phoned the store and they are supposedly holding a size 8 pair for me. So, my heads up for you all is to make sure you look at the size of BOTH shoes handing on their little hanger. Duh, but I thought I'd mention it :)

I did go to the childrens dept. :) and bought myself Mickey and Minnie jibbitz. I don't know if I'll actually put them on, maybe when we are in DLR :)

They are arent a fashion statement, thats for sure.

And as far as fitting in at DL, I struck up comments (and vice versa) with lots of fellow Crocs wearers and it's just a natural conversation piece with complete strangers. You'll be in good company. Big burly men, kids, women...it's all good.

And I stress: I have Daisy Duck feet and some extra poundage and shoes are my (no pun intended) Achille's heel. Your feet will NOT be an issue. And yep, I would recommend the kind with straps for extra insurance.

And on the Grizzly River....oh yeah. Your feet dry out in no time. :)

I could definitely see how wearing these all day at DL would be so comfy!

They are not the cutest shoes, but I love them, and the Disney Jibbitz make them even better.
I bought some on ebay for $1.99 each, but the colors are a little off. They are not "true" jibbitz, but that's ok.
Mickey's face is pink, Goofy's hat is yellow and Minnie's face is gray.
Did I mention teh shipping was free? Now I know why.

Thanks for all the info on these shoes..how did I ever live without them.
Can't wait for my trip to DL so I can wear them.

But I have NEVER been more comfortable at DL then when I had my crocs on!!! I don't wear them any where else (the're still pretty funny looking), but I will ALWAYS wear a pair to DL!! :0)
