Disney lives in a vacuum where the economy is great .. .wages are up .. and paying $125 for a one day park hopper .. is as easy as a 43 dollar ticket .. just ONE decade ago! Even the 470 dollar Deluxe AP is blacked-out the whole week following Christmas day ... So ... if you feel like dumping a whopping $650 for the premium AP .. go for it! Their motto of the happiest place on earth should change to "The Happiest Place for those who are filthy rich, and won't bat an eye lid for over $100 for a single day in the park!"

Now the extra $300 for 2 passes isnt worth it and now one trip a year or few years will have to do. It would be great it DL had the no expiration tickets available one day.

Disney's "economy" is great. If people are willing to pay that much (and apparently they are), they're foolish not to charge that much.

The multi-day tickets are designed to be used during what's essentially one visit, and not as a "partial AP" for a number of different visits throughout the year that are less than justifies an AP.
