Curry tried to kill me.

    Dave you probably have a large Indian population in London just like us here in BC, which makes for lots of good restaurants.

    I had an experience simialar to yours at an Asian buffet once. I took a bite and then realized I had nothing to drink. I thought I was going to die. My throat just shut down. I couldn't breath or eat.
    I make my own curries and I love them. Quite mild of course. I love Thai but order 1 star and season myself.

    I always have a pot of natural yoghurt on standby when Patrick makes his special curries...we have some bhut jolokia chillies (the hottest you can get) and he does like to zing up a curry with them.
