Neat trick, do you have a time machine?

Maybe it was just a very, very long trip.

    >>There is no such thing as a "one size fits all" ride for every family.

What about the parking lot tram?

Of the newest attractions at DLR, we have:

    Monsters, Inc.
    Buzz Lightyear
    Turtle Talk & Animation Academy
    Coming soon: Nemo Subs

That's four family-oriented attractions within about three or four years. And the only new thrill ride in that time span is Tower of Terror. How much more do you want?

then dont ride them if you dont like them because some people do..yes Pirates and Haunted mansion are great but they need thirll rides or else everyones always is going to characterise disney as a little kid park..i think there doing great..how many..but i agree Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride in all the parks.:)

The orange version, to me, spins too fast for a Disney ride. I love thrill rides. I love launching, spinning, hanging, etc. and I think Mission: Space is too intense. I was seriously disoriented and I think the video display had something to do with it too. If the spin was half the speed that it is now it would be more fun and repeatable. Then again, the fact that you launch from Earth and then land on Mars every single time limits it's repeatability to me.

The other problem on Mission: Space is the fact that you feel isolated. It isn't a group experience like on Star Tours and you don't dare look left or right after the 12 warnings you get before boarding.

The wait for Mission: Space was never longer than 10 minutes for green and 30 minutes for orange. They were giving out surprise FastPasses for Mission: Space so I'm guessing many people feel it is too intense.

    Just my 2 cents.

I personally would be bugged as a Disney exec. if I did all that warning and then people still blamed me/Disney for passing out (or worse!) on the ride! I think people just have the "not me" mentality and won't take responsibility for their own decisions.

I also have been to DL and DCA while pregnant and found plenty to do without any even remotely "thrilling" rides. I think Disney has managed to find a decent balance to draw the tweens and teens while still finding fun for everyone. Boy do I sound like a homer!! Guess that's why it's Disney for me ºoº

But they DO seeom to go out with some regularity on Mission: Space.

There is a limit out there.

And I think the original point of this thread is still valid: Disney's greatest Attraction successes of all times are light on they physical thrills, and chock full of themeing, story, humor (sometimes salty humor), group togetherness, and adventure. That should be the standard, the bulk, the model, the epitome. Physical thrills have their place, but they shouldn't steal all or even most of the limelight.

I and my family WILL NOT be riding it, and 2. maybe it needs to be reformed or just plain taken out. Why risk it? I know nothing is 100% safe.... I am not a pollyanna.... but, I consider myself careful and I refuse to take unessesary risks. Having my 38 year old husband die from brain cncer taught me that life is precious and I try to be as safe as possible. Just my thoughts...... I love Disney rides just as much (if not more), as the next Disney freak, but, I just don't see taking a risk this big with Mission Space......
