I think it will be a GREAT choice for the AK's never developed "Beastly Kingdom". Just waiting (hoping) for the area where the ground you walk on lights up as you walk on it through the shimmering forest.

A dusty, tan/beige "cave" type environment, devoid of any "future tech" that looks like something that would belong in Frontierland ... more than it would in the "land of the future".

D23 is winding down. I looked at the schedule. There's another couple hours to go.

For 3 days .. there's been plenty of opportunity to throw up online .. any tidbit of info - as I'm sure anyone with an I-phone .. I-pad .. or I-whatever ;) ... any tid bit about future attractions at any park would have gone up.

So, as far as I see .... it was only ever WISHFUL thinking on the part of fans, that there were ever going to be any mention of Star Wars in the parks. Avatar land, ANYTHING.

Or, has there been anything said? In any panel discussion? An exhibit?

I found one tidbit about the Tomorrowland film. That Disney wants a release date of December 2014. A long way off.

So ... just like D23 2011 ... I see little reason to ever attend these events.

I met every Disney legend .. that pops up at these things ... for the NFFC between 1988 and 1996 - To me, if Disney can't even offer any peek whatsoever on future attractions ... D23 Expos are a waste of time!

If others who went, and found them a great event to see .. then I'm happy for them.

While they didn't say anything about specific attractions or which parks they're considering, their display essentially confirmed that they are looking at soing *something* Star Wars themed. Maybe not the most groundbreaking revelation, but it's something that hasn't really been so clearly indicated before

The only thing that was announced for the parks is that newly-inducted Disney Legend Tony Baxter will be getting a window

Interesting, I thought they had cancelled that project. Or was that the Magic Kingdom film? When everything is based on the existing properties, it's hard to tell them apart.

You don't know that for sure, Dak is a beautiful park and this could be a wonderful addition. Even though its nothing special the new FLA expansion looks great. Dak in my opinion is one of the best parts of WDW and something you sure cant get at Disneyland. If they ever do add Avatarland the park would be probably be more appealing to me than Epcot.

Looking from the outside in, it seems like something all the "cool kids" go to and not much else...
