I have often felt a lot of hostility from you. ;-) After seeing my step-dad hit my mom a lot when I was little, I definitely go into fight mode instead of flight. When I was in the 2nd grade my mom was ill and passed out. I woke up and thought my dad hit her and I literally attacked him. Thinking of how tiny I was compared to him is kind of funny now (well, almost funny). I was afraid for her but I don't remember being afraid for myself. I don't know if I'd be able to control myself if I caught someone trying to hurt my kids. Kind of scary to think about.

I was still loading my car when they left.

Kinda makes me wish Naomi had said, "Fine, we'll see just how many charges he wants to press when I charge him for child molestation!" or somethin'. Frankly, I like hearing that sometimes when a criminal gets caught, a victim or a loved one can "take 'em to the woodshed" in a not-so-friendly reminder that their actions will NOT be tolerated. It's just a little human justice for Good, imo.

But the law of the land is that individuals cannot puruse personal revenge. It is the job of the courts to punish criminals. Perhaps we feel that the courts have become too soft on criminals. If that is the case then we need to elect tougher judges. But the last thing we need in this country is mob rule.

SSP continued to use force AFTER the attacker was unconscious. If I were on a jury I would vote "guilty". Do I morally blame him? No way, never. I have not been in a situation like that so I might have even gone further than SSP, who knows maybe even to the point of killing. SSP committed a crime by using unnecessary brutality on another person, I say, but good for him and us anyway because maybe there is one less gangbanger out there who would cause problems. It is interesting how the lines between hero and criminal can blur.

Like I said the name "ClintFlint" was either removed, no longer authorized or kicked off by the staff. When I tried to log in it was disallowed and I don't know why.

He could be sued, and he might even lose, but he could be considered only 1/10 of 1% at fault and pay ten cents. Or he could win, because if not for the provocative actions of the criminal, none of this would have happened. All sorts of things can happen.
