Guess what? The country is falling apart, it would likely serve you better to dwell on that negativity because WDW is just a microcosm of the larger world.

He has responsibility for the Disneyland Resort Paris portfolio and Theme Park Productions (that produce all of the movies, safety spiels etc.). He hasn't been the lead creative executive since Bruce Vaughn was installed over two years ago.

But since like most people it takes a few years to plan a trip to WDW I'm choosing not to bitch at every little thing about the place. And when I was at the MK of the holidays I thought they did a fantastic job with cleanup, crowd control. Disney still and will always be the best in the business.

Park VPs DO have substantial power to affect guest experiences on a daily basis. They are not powerless mid-level managers and they provide direction for their parks as anyone who actually works at one will tell you. Does it really matter who is running EPCOT when our country is falling apart? No. Of course not. But this is a Disney forum where people come to discuss Disney. And I don't believe Danny Boy becoming EPCOT VP is good for the park. He hasn't exactly stood out in any of his prior positions, and has arrived where he is in large part because his father was a power-broker at TDO. I hope he does a great job and wish him the best, but I'm not expecting it. ~Pass the Pixie Dust~

I do think if people weren't so damn apthetic/selfish in this country then we wouldn't be in the situation we are in. We sat back like sheep as our country was stolen by evil politicians and Wall Street and so long as it didn't seem to affect us directly we just let it go. <<My governor has proposed a .19 a gallon additional tax on gas. My Benz is that old and has 35,000 miles on it and I can't believe how little that is. Of course, my Honda is two years old and has 37,000 ... but that's the car that's used most of the time.

Is Ratatouille coming to DSP or has that been replaced by a movie?

Although some people who visit often don't notice what's right in front of them. Guess it depends on the individual. <<But since like most people it takes a few years to plan a trip to WDW I'm choosing not to bitch at every little thing about the place.>> And I'm guessing from your tone you feel that people here choose to bitch at every little thing? <<And when I was at the MK of the holidays I thought they did a fantastic job with cleanup, crowd control. And I largely enjoyed my last visit to WDW. I usually do.

LP is all the excitement I need? My husband has 134,000 on his jeep, makes up for me. My last jeep did drive from Mass to WDW and back.
