Billy Ray & Karina: Ugh! It ain't pretty.

Leeza & Tony: She's stiff as a board. Gonna take a lot of work.

Joey & Kym: My favorite of the night. She very bubbly (not sure how long this will last without working my nerves) and he is funny and he CAN dance!

Laila & Maksim: Dark horse, I think she's gonna be a tough competitor. That voice - aye yi yi!

John & Edyta: Um, ok. Funny but he won't last.

Shandi & Brian: They were good, nothing to write home about.

Clyde & Elena: His body was movig but he's going to have to work on his head and shoulders they were doing something different.

    Heather & Jonathan: Zzzzzzz!

Apolo & Julianne: Another contender, he needs to loosen up a bit but I think with time they will get MUCH better.

Joey - Very much the crowd-pleaser, a lot of fun to watch. Glad to see Kym get a decent partner this year.

Laila - Wow, did NOT expect her to be so graceful and sexy. Looked great too.

Ian - Great form, think he'll go far - has a great partner in Cheryl (but "2-time champ" will get old if they keep trotting it out).

Apolo - His dance wasn't all that spactacular - with his headband and petite blonde partner, it reminded me of the "Junior Dance" competitions they used to have on "Star Search" back in the day - but he obviously has a lot of support and energy. Sounds like his schedule is stretching him pretty thin, and frankly that showed. Expect lots of refrences to how busy he is, like Mario last year, which I think didn't do him any favors.

    Surprisingly good:

John - Go Cliffie! Very light on his feet and confident, considering his shorter rehearsal time.

Heather - Totally avoided the real reason why she's famous (or infamous), instead coining her "charity campaigner" (I guess "animal rights activist" is too strong for primetime). Afraid every time she performs will be like watching an accident waiting to happen, but she pulled it off a lot better then expected. Have to give her credit too for wanting to inspire other handicapped people.

    Jury still out:

Need to see more of Paulina (funny! who knew?) and Shandi (also the "Lingo" girl on the Game Show Network) to decide; they both looked good, but nothing to make them stand out from the crowd yet.

    Needs some work:

Leeza and Clyde - Nothing too spectacular, but both good spirited.

    Oh the horror:

Billy Ray - He just had this look on his face afterward as if saying "See, I told you I couldn't dance". (I actually felt kind of bad for him, but he won't last long I think.) And you KNOW Karina is ticked off with who she ended up with this year.

Btw, pet peeve on this show - I HATE it when the dancers "sing along" to the song. I wish the judges would count them off for that.

And if you missed any of it or want to watch again, the whole episode is available for free on ABC.com

Don't know why Paul McCartney's ex is in it.. what is she famous for besides being married to Sir Paul?? (although I give her credit for wanting to give it a go)

Quite a long trailer for prime time TV too! :)

Oh, me too! Add to that the fact that John was chewing gum. I hate it when people chomp and smack their gum.

Can I confess that I only watched the show to see if Heather Mills would fall down? I know that's mean, but I just don't like her. I do admire her for showing that she can do this, but I just don't care for her personally.

Oh, and as for the Joey "fat one" thing, it's funny that he mentioned that himself in the show.

I'm sure he has heard that one a THOUSAND times before and difused it from the start.

Being named Kirby, I've heard it all, usually "like the vaccum cleaner, ha ha ha" (groan) or, mostly when I was a kid, something like "the love bug" or "are you going to Monte Carlo?" It gets old, believe me, especially when people seem to think they are the first person to think of it.

Tonights episode of dancing with the stars was good. I was amazed by Heather Mills tonight. I thought she deserved higher than sevens. (I am also one who does not think much of her personally, but I did think her dancing is great.)
