I don't know whether it's because the players are being drafted younger and younger, or whether the coaches in schools have stopped teaching the fundamentals. I thought that it was hysterical that it took Padilla (who used to pitch for the Phils) at least half the season to figure out that once a ball was hit that he would actually have to move off the mound to cover first base once and a while. He would just stand there as we'd all be screaming at him. I can't believe that no fundamentals were taught in other countries, too.
