So, I can imagine that anyone like that (I know many, actually) would automatically dismiss DLP and then turn around and like WDSP just because of Rockin Roller Coaster or Armageddon, or even just the fact that there's no castle and few "kiddie rides".

Sad thing is, with the many misteps of the Disney company over the last 10 years, I don't obsess as much any more.

LOL Hans, I hardly think you are in the minority ;D. Remember, this thread came out of me actually just THINKING to go to WDS now. You have to remember, this is the ONLY Disney theme park I never been too. It's the ONLY one I had zero interest in seeing. As much as I give DCA, I was defintitely interested in SEEING it at least despite what I thought it after word. Same for HKDL. In fact, I been to both of those parks a few times (it's a little different with DCA though, I only bought a full day ticket the very one time, the rest was always a park hopper, so no biggie ;). If I had only the option of a full price ticket, different story).

But with WDS, NO interest whatsoever. I tried to convince myself to go back if for no other reason to go back to DLP which is VERY worth it and to get the nagging feeling this is the only Disney theme park on earth I haven't been too. It's really THAT more than anything I would like to see it soon. I think considering how pathetic the attendance is for this park though, you are clearly NOT in the minority.....just with DCA, JOKE!!!!!! ;D

Ya, but most people at DLP do use park hoppers in my experience, so same deal. Also, like DCA, a lot of people go to DLP for rope drop, hop to the Studios in the middle of the day, and then head back to DLP.

DL and DCA is similar, and heck, I do the same with Epcot and MGM sometimes.

I really don't have a problem here. It costs nearly as much to go to Buffalo Bill's for Dinner and a Show. Well as much as I adore BBWS, if I had to chose between it and even just the shows at WDSP, WDSP would win. But I don't have to choose as my park hopper or AP does not cost any more. Bonus!!!

The new additions notwithstanding, the place feels cheap, very "corporate" (generic/cookie-cutter), is utterly lacking in creativty, and has numerous cast members that look like they were imported directly from Six Flags Over Texas. Obviously, the company is restricted by a terrible financial situation, but this park takes the Disney theme park experience to new lows. Like Knott's, USH, Magic Mountain, and other West Coast theme parks that hold no interest for me, I honestly can't think of more than one or two good things to say about DSP.

I've read and re-read this thread a couple of times to make sure I'm not mis-understanding what Hans or anyone else wrote. I wish I could share the expression on my face right now. "Amused astonishment" might be a close description.

To put it as briefly as possible: "Now you know how we feel."

    The entrance is well done.

After that - I am done with compliments.

Whoever was responsible should be *slapped* - it is truly shocking how bad this place is - that said - Congrats to the new additions and hears to continued improvements / investments.

    oh .. two more compliments:
The car stunt show and CINEMAGIQUE (sp?)

Personally, I would love to hear your justifications of why people who dislike DCA are stupid or "bashers", but it's fine for you to hate WDSP and look down upon anyone who dares to like it.

But, I'm not holding my breath anymore...you obviously don't want to have a real discussion.

What is wrong with you? When did I ever say call anyone was stupid in regard to DCA or say that someone was bashing in this thread? And what does DCA have to do with this topic anyway? The discussion here was going along fine until you chimed in. I'm done with you.
