The kool aid is reserved for stuff that DOES actually suck.

DCA lovers and WDSP lovers drink kool aid.

DisneySea lovers drink in the beauty of a truly stunning and breathtaking themepark. ;)

I really like DCA and WDS is becoming a lot of fun. We probably spent equal time between DLP and WDS on the last trip. Mr X - check out the picks - cool samba girls - I mean drummers.

You seem to have fallen into the cult of people who get upset anytime the Tokyo parks are brought up as a counter to any argument, even when a preference is not stated or implied.

Allow me to dissect what I posted in #57. I was responding to the notion that FP causes the lack of themed queues. I think that this is incorrect, I think that TDS provides convincing proof of that.

Note that my statement doesn't rely on any particular opinion on FP, or any particular opinion on DCA. One could hold the opinion that FP sucks, that DCA is a superior park to TDS, and even that themed queues are bad and my argument still stands: the fact that TDS was designed from the ground with FP in mind and has themed queues for FP attractions shows that it's not FP that prevents modern attractions from having themed queues.

Since that's the only convincing proof I have of that, I don't have a way to state it without bringing TDS into the discussion. It's true that even absent that example, my opinion would be that themed queues were missing from DCA because of cost cutting, and I could have stated that as my opinion. But it would be easy for someone to be unconvinced and continue to believe otherwise. But I decided to point out the situation with TDS, FP, and themed queues because I think that it provides a rather objective example on the situation at hand that shows conclusively that FP does not necessitate unthemed queues.

I think that's certainly the case (and that's what I meant to say in the first place), but I don't think that's the real reason. My opinion is that had FP not been included in DCA, the people in charge at the time would have just moved on to another reason to justify not having themed queues (any reason other than of course the actual reason, and I believe that this goes on as much in their own heads as it does in public statements). The FP/queue issue is just a <blank> excuse.

That's because FP slows down the regular lines conciderably. Without FP, a single line would move faster and the wait would be reduced. Example... MK's Peter Pan's Flight. Before FP, the lines here on very busy days were on average 45 mins. (not to mention the horrible congestion it creates in that tight area of the MK) But Now? guests who for whatever reason choose to do the Stand by line have to wait 90+ mins for a ride that is simply outdated and totally unworth it.

    >>If those who use the system to their advantage are lazy then would make the people who don't stupid.<<

I don't think stupid is the right word.. but "ignorant" about the FP system and how to use it. However... what would you concider those guests who arrive at an attraction after FPs are gone for the day and have no choice but to do a stand by line for a popular ride, such as the predicament with EPCOT's Soarin'??? While "The Seas with Nemo" next door, with NO Fastpass system, can be a walkon at times.

I had forgotten about the immersive queues at TDS as I have not yet had the opportunity to see it with my own two eyes yet. I was trying to be funny.

There are attractions with themed queues and fastpass that have been built fairly recently outside of Tokyo - EE (as Irishfan pointed out), Buzz, and even RNRC at WDS.

But I am with TDLFAN here. I used to be a fan of fastpass, and thought - just get there early. But now my circumstances have changed with having little ones, we sometimes cannot get to the park at rope drop, or need to leave the park and come back later. It becomes a nightmare.

Cars and Crush already have stupid waits, I would dread to think what the situation would be like with FP.
