So Dave, how feasible is it to reach London from Paris? Is it a quick and painless train ride or is it a semi full day of traveling with multiple transfers and passport hassles. I would like to stop in at a pub and sit down for a pint or three and get totally smashed. Being my first time in Europe I don't know diddly(I have always been a south of the border traveler like Cancun/Puerto Vallarta/ Manzanillo/ Cozumel/TJ, as well as the Caribbean but mostly East Asian).

Hey X, I am really missing Tokyo Dis. Resort ---- especially Disney Sea--- something badly. I need to get back over there before I lose my sanity. So I'm strongly thinking the last week of June because the refurb/closure schedule looks promising and the crowds won't avalanche me. I am a full blown TDR addict and I need another fix; so what do you say---- parks by day and early evening and Shinjuku by night(pretty ambitious considering the two places are not exactly neighbors).

TDLFAN, I'll bet you would be a great guide too; what are the chances of an appearance in late June?

Unless you really love Shinjuku, I know plenty of equally cool places to hang that are a lot closer to TDR (Ueno, Ginza, Akasaka, Asakusa, Roppongi, Odaiba...to name a few).

Go to the Gare de Nord, show your passport when you check in and go through security an hour before boarding. 3 hours later you arrive in Waterloo, just south of the River Thames and Big Ben/Millenium Wheel. Then repeat to get back. So all told, its 8 hours of your day. But if you were up for it, we could hook up perhaps.

Prices are about $320 each round trip. And there are about 3 or 4 trains an hour.
