And boy do I feel old!!!
I got to see Davey live a few years back at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. We stayed for both shows.
My 36yo son and I watch the Monkees every weekend on a local TV station. They will be playing the whole series tomorrow.
Another local station is playing the Brady Bunch episode and the two Loveboat episodes with Davey on Sunday.
    I will be tuned in.
    We will miss you:eek:(

A couple of years ago we Netflixed all of the old Monkees episodes. My girls enjoyed them so much. I think most kids today would appreciate The Monkees, and Davy Jones.

That's AWESOME! That would have me glued to the tv all day, though!

I was just channel surfing and found out that on Tuesday, they're airing an episode of The Newlywed Game with Davy on it at 7 E/4P, assuming that GSN is still just one feed for the entire nation...the commercial said 7 pm.

I have not sat and watched them all but they have been on both TV's. I slept in my recliner last night and would fall asleep during one episode and then wake up in the middle of a different one.
And, if it matters to anyone, it was Love American Style not the Loveboat episodes they showed. (oops)

This last weekend I was in a country town called Dubbo .. West of Sydney. Saturday night at the local RSL ... and twice, within an hour ... two different people picked Day Dream Believer to sing during karaoke, as a tribute to Davy.

While I was only a few years old during the first run of the tv series The Monkeys .... A saw it several times in syndication in the 70s .. and the songs played on the radio, to this day - And who can forget I'm A Believer is part of the Shrek films ... So ... I will definitely miss Davy Jones.

Gone way too young! Unlike many musicians who didn't do much to take care of themselves .. and aged horribly ... Davy on the other hand, seemed to have done enough to age gracefully. Looked great for 66. And thought he would be with us for another 20 years. And a heart attack at 66 has me wondering.

Now .. I won't be able to listen to his songs without feeling the loss of this terrific entertainer since the 60s.

    rest in peace :(
