Now.. if there was lush landscaping to accompying them - that would be ideal. I can almost see some dense "shrub-esque" folliage coming out of the top of the murals. The redwood trees sound AWSOME !!!!!

Too much of DCA is too similar in design language to a really nice strip mall in an affluent neighborhood. I've even seen some strip malls and shopping centers in south Orange County that look better than big sections of DCA. If they could get the DCA entrance area from the turnstiles to the hubcap up to the level of the Grizzly area thematically and design wise, it would go a long way in helping the tarnished reputation DCA has of being a "park done on the cheap". It would also make the park more attractive looking from the Esplanade and would likely drive more interest in visiting the place from locals who were just going to go to Disneyland for the day.

"Paradise Pier is perfectly Disneyesque! Muholland Madness looks great! The park's theme is wonderful! People who don't like DCA are full of beans!"

After all, if those two had the competency to recognize what a series of blunders DCA would be, from around the time of the Aspen conference onward, they'd have happily scrapped plans and started anew.

I recall your reactions being rather positive towards DCA -- certainly far more than I felt it deserved -- going back to 2001. In other words, that colors the way you'll respond when it's judged and criticized.
