The Magic Kingdom has a very limited offering of attractions as compared to DL and has three other theme parks right there and it is always the most visited of the four.

It certainly will do a better job at holding guest's interests longer than ever before. Unless Disney eliminates park hopping for everyone, including AP's. In that horror scenario, nobody would dare step into DCA. I don't see Disney ever pulling that card though.

Unless they're concerned about overcrowding or guest flow, I don't see what it matters to them which park people are buying their dinner in, etc. - the main goal is to increase attendance at the resort as a whole, and increase out-of-town guest stays. All that is doable without messing with hopping.

I can't help but be fascinated and impressed by the dramatic improvement in the way that DCA 2.0 is being marketed over the initial opening back in 2001. The single biggest fail at DCA was the awkward way that the place was first hyped and launched to the public. Contrasting Disney's excellent DCA expansion promotion program today with the period leading up to the February 2001 opening illustrates just how crappy the first marketing push for the park really was.
