Actually, Like you lots and everybody else on the boards.

Not trying to be a religious offender at all. I have never gone to church so can't say much about religion. Just think the Fontini Italian Nativity Village is a masterpiece. And strange to have the 3 Wise Men pointing in the wrong direction...Follow them to the xmas present filled with Disney stuff. Thanks Santa

That's cool... I just didn't know. There is a lot of the "attack on Christmas" stuff around this year so I just wasn't sure.

I don't see an attack on Christmas and I do go to church. If a person wants to see the true meaning of Christmas they should go to church, not to Disney World.

Not that there is anything wrong with Disney World... I love it too! Just don't expect to get your religion from a theme park!!

I try to avoid politics and religion on LP tho.

And I am thankful Disney still has the Candlelight Processional and the Nativity displays considering most corporations remove their Crosses and all mention of Christ in Christmas.

And" Disneylands" are the only place that I find hope and faith for the small possibility of world peace and community. It is that melting pot of all humanity that can basically have enjoyment together for at least a day because we share a love of Disney. I once had a book titled The Gospel according to Disney, I think. I lent it and never got it back!

Anyway thanks RT for your kind response to me.

I never got to see the Osborne Lights when they were on Residential Street. In fact, I have seen them only once. They are rather hard to forget, though!

(And if I get to the park on New Year's Eve, please stop and say hello. I am always happy to meet LPers.)

So I asked "using" your name and they all said you were not able to attend ... so I did meet up with a few recognizable names. I think 999Haunts was one of them. I remember joking that I didn't want to reveal my name since nobody likes me very much on LP!!!
So I definitely will be there. I arrive on Saturday the 29th to meet up with my California relatives. I actually have a great rate at the PP...only 350 per night versus the higher rate it escalated to before selling out !!!
Crazy addiction... I have desperately given up my daily coffee/Starbucks fix and all sugar and other stuff to feed my inner Disney.

So did you say in that Santa interview "people are living on Buena Vista upper level" ???

I "think" the Santa Goofy photo location is in the very middle of the street where the nightly light switch flip- on occurs...a little further down the street is the former nativity stage/(?shipping dock?) where the BIG

Decorated Box possibly empty or full of horrible Disney stuff souvenirs ...and where the Wise Men have searched for to find the true meaning of Xmas

And the nativity scene is around the corner in what I am calling the back alley but is in reality Disney's newest photo money making location but hopefully not making money so it can be returned to the proper heavenly location next year in response to the customer satisfaction survey of one unhappy guest. THat would be me! Understand now?

I would splurge $159 for a few nights.

The way we look at it instead of staying at a expensive hotel we can have another vacation. I booked a trip for Las vegas for the 2 of us for four days at Planet Hollywood for just over $600 plus airfare. We would love to splurge at a Disney property, but just not worth it for us.

If you have the money to do it though then i would too!

Plus a helicopter flight over the island and it cost us only $4000.00 total. Not per person. We checked at Aulani and the cost of staying at the hotel would have been over $6000.00. I love WDW and have always wanted to stay at The Contemporary Resort. And I hope to in the next few years. But Right now they are wanting at this years rates of $400.00 to $500.Just for a 4 days and nights. Thats a lot of money .Even though it's a once in a lifetime thing. Yeah I will probably do it. But do any of you think WDW is getting to expensive. And by the way everything we do we pay for cash. We have no credits cards and we save for what we get. Please tell me if it's worth the cost and what are the benefits of stay there. Thanks and Happy New Year to my new friends. Please Im being honest I really want to do it. It's on my bucket list of things to do.

I just got back from Disneyland and we didnt even use our one free early entry to the parks because we didnt want to bother waking up at the crack of dawn. When you spend multiple days at the parks and ten hours plus a day you really dont want to kill yourself getting up.

My last trip to Las Vegas i got upgraded to a one bedroom suite at Palms place with 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, washer and dryer, fireplace, jacuzzi looking over the strip on the 50th floor for $80 a night LOL. If i paid $500 a night for a "nice" room i would be angry at myself. If i could afford to stay at Disney hotels and not have to save my money i would. I guess you just have to decide if you really want to pay for it or not.

Three hours after close. Although I think that just changed to 2 hours. I didin't use it a lot, but the evening Extra Magic Hours were great when I did. You can get a lot done in that last hour.

The cost is so much. I could save the money and have a nice trip to DC and go to the other places I mentioned. Just has been a dream but they are asking outrageous rates. Thanks for the inputs guys.
