If he fixes it, all props are his and he will enjoy eight prosperous years in the White House (and the Democrat margins will increase significantly). If he doesn't fix it, he will probably lose some seats in Congress and squeak by with a second term Bush style. Being a patriotic American, I certainly hope he can fix things, since I don't want my President to fail!
