Attempts to talk him out of it proved as futile as attempts to talk UtahJosh out of supporting Prop 8.

I dropped the subject, and I think we've mutually decided that it will stay dropped. But I am more scared now than ever.

If they could sway this guy, then there is something going on here that is more than just an election.

And a number of people this year want to "run up the score.">>

Yeah, I think that's the difference. There is just real actual excitement just to VOTE this year!! I feel it here in Australia lol, people want their voices to actually be heard. I was freaking out a few days ago that I couldnt vote and I live in Calif ;). I know Obama doesnt need my vote there, but its symbolic for me, I want to say I help put him in (just like all the Republcans who now regrets putting Bush in---the opposite of that ;)).

And its funny, we keep talking about complancy, how people will stay home, yada, yada and we seem to be ignorning what's going on with our very eyes right now. There are record breaking numbers of early voting. Democrats are leading the charge 2-to-1!! In fact, its ALWAYS been Republicans who did the early voting first and thus far, they are being outvoted in every state that report party affiliation--every one. Not a SINGLE state has Republicans voting more than Democrats thus far. Absentee ballots are in the millions already. They are estimating a THIRD of the electorate will have voted before election day even gets here and that this could be the highest percentage of people voting in four decades.

So yeah, I agree, there is a HUGE danger of complancy, 'he's got it in the bag', etc, but if anything, the opposite seems to be happening. People are linging up for HOURS to vote before election day.

So, overall I dont think people not coming out to vote will be the problem, just will it be enough in certain swing states for Obama to win? For all intent and purposes, thus far it seems like people are just interested in the process as well for a change and its a good thing either way.

I'm starting to think if the same number of Democrats who are worried actually go out and vote Obama, he would probably win by a landslide lol.

    And..it won't matter.

Those scumbags are going to have their heads handed to them on Tuesday in a ROUT, AND they have proven themselves to be the mud rolling pigs everyone always suspected them to be.

Nicely done, you bunch of pigs. I hope this kills your whole party, I really do.

Lieberman and Romney and some of the other more reasonable Republicans can start up a new, centrist one in its' place.

There are plenty of conservatives that aren't a bunch of "mud rolling pigs." But, I do get your overall point and maybe there will be some thoughtful realignment in the party. I know a lot of folks are talking about it but it will only happen if McCain loses.

Well, like I said I hope the reasonable adults in that party do something.

I'm not trying to make blanket indictments, I'm referring directly to those pigs who know exactly who they are (Palin, McCain, Dole).

LOL! I thought you could stop at 270. ;)

<<not trying to make blanket indictments,>>

Thank you for saying that. I wasn't sure. While I can't call them "pigs," I have been disappointed in all three you mention.

Wow, you have a lot of faith in my enormous karmic power, eh?

Well, I don't blame ya for being superstitious, 8 years'll do that to ya ('specially when they seem like 80!).

Anyway, why not come over to Japan ANYWAY and we can hang out at DisneySea? :D
