There are record breaking numbers of early voting. Democrats are leading the charge 2-to-1!! In fact, its ALWAYS been Republicans who did the early voting first and thus far, they are being outvoted in every state that report party affiliation--every one. Not a SINGLE state has Republicans voting more than Democrats thus far. Absentee ballots are in the millions already. They are estimating a THIRD of the electorate will have voted before election day even gets here and that this could be the highest percentage of people voting in four decades. So yeah, I agree, there is a HUGE danger of complancy, 'he's got it in the bag', etc, but if anything, the opposite seems to be happening. People are linging up for HOURS to vote before election day. So, overall I dont think people not coming out to vote will be the problem, just will it be enough in certain swing states for Obama to win? For all intent and purposes, thus far it seems like people are just interested in the process as well for a change and its a good thing either way.
