There is more build-up for the yeti than any single moment on any other attraction, yet the actual face-time is so comically short in the grand scheme of things. No, they won't know ahead of time exactly how fast the trains will be going through a specific point in the attraction, but they can figure it out within 2-3mph long before they ever break ground. Having such an important moment of the attraction be so short was just bad planning. Neve mind that they didn't design and program it properly, it just wouldn't have mattered.

Ok, but a couple of more show scenes might've helped. After all, I'd like to actually see SOMETHING on the ride, not just a bird on a stick, a projection on a wall, and a strobe light animatronic.

The bird-on-a-stick was another budget compromise. One that the former head of WDI admits was a mistake. It was supposed to be a lot more - WDW Co. wouldn't pay for it.

Which seems to support my statement that the thing was way over-designed for what it was going to end up doing. Classic WDI over think in this case.

Look to the left -- you can see the 'bird on a stick' effect.

I tend to agree that the AA could have been less impressive since you only see it for a split-second.
