I would love to see that, too. I still am sad that I missed out on getting to make any Walt Disney World Forever discs.

Actually, ANY of the Future World pavilions at night with the dramatic lighting, even today, is so impressive. Sadly, most of the pavilions are closed by sundown now... so all we have is the exteriors at night.

Presumably, the whole suite starts with "Celebrate the Future," which you hear in commercials, long before you even enter the park. Once you arrive, that theme is woven into the Tapestry of Nations. The Tapestry music then also introduces the Illuminations music, which is actually a countermelody to Celebrate the Future. Later in the day, you go see Illuminations and get the second half of the orchestral portion of the suite. At the finale, "We Go On" and "Promise" then conclude the whole experience, following a variation on the same theme.

It's not a single attraction that you enter, experience, and then exit, but it does follow the musical arc that makes the themes so memorable. It's just spread out over the course of the day (well, now only pieces of it are left), but it does the same thing that made the original Epcot stuff so great. It's a shame that less than half of the music is still used in the park...

I have never heard music that so fit the mood of a park as the original EC entrance suite. Just awe-inspiring.

And, please, no talk of how today's ordinary theme park crap equals it. Soarin has a great score, but let's all realize this wasn't created for Epcot ... and what else do you have? It's so unmemorable, I can barely think ...

The pinnacle for ANY of their shows. It's a wonder.

The current Innoventions loop is a good one, you have to admit.

But yeah, the original topped it all. Do you have a copy?

Good music, but not terribly memorable or interesting.

Then, flash forward to Disneys California Adventure --and that pile o' crap music track that played in the main entrance and Sunshine Plaza.

With the changes that are already underway, I hope we've heard 'California Girls' 'California Dreamin' and 'California Here I Come' for the last time.

    AAAAARRRRRGGHHH!

It's also the one single thing that made and keeps me a Disney Parks fan. I agree with Skipper that it is still the one thing that has been consistently done at a high level throughout the history of the parks and up until the present.

That being said, nothing can touch the mastery of Baker and Shermans, which is why I hate it when CEO's blow them off and find them "too constraining."

Nor can anything touch the body of work that was the original Epcot body of music, which in its scope and originality (much like the park it accompanied) will never be equalled.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant the competition they were ahead of, not the competition they were behind.
