I don't know. The people over at the MAGICal place are the ones touting it as a "terrorist" thing.

This idiot deserves more than a slap on the wrist...I'd like to see a serious fine, a significant amount of community service hours ( maybe driving a bus for convicts-), anger counseling mandatory, and maybe an overnight stay in the pokey with people who do this all the time.

Was the bus running? Could it have been engaged into gear or could the brakes been disenganged accidentally thus endangering the passengers? I would think so. Especially if the altercation ended up near the bus controls.

I don't know if that constitutes a terrorist threat. If at any time the "yahoo" did make a comment threatening the operator, moving our not, maybe that is all that is required.

I can't hear the audio (my computer is stuck on "mute" and I can't get it unstuck), but there was an incident on one of our buses earlier this year. A woman tried to board with her child in a stroller, and the driver politely told her she needed to remove the child and close the stroller before she could board. She said she couldn't because she didn't have anywhere to put the baby. He asked her again (still politely) and explained that it was a safety hazard to board with a child in a stroller. She exploded and began screaming at him. The driver maintained his cool, left the bus and grabbed a manager, who then removed the woman and her child from the bus.

Many people are jerks nowadays. They want everyone to accommodate their needs and could care less who they upset to get their way.

VBDAD, you need to step back and cool off here ... I wasn't saying DVC had a thing to do with the assault at all ... I just called WDW -- The Timeshare Kingdom of the World -- because that's what it is.

You're being way overly defensive on this, like someone called on of your kids 'ugly' or something and it's starting to get annoying coming from someone I genuinely like and respect ... I am not a DVCer hater, I am a TDO hater ... and I am tired of seeing DVC AND resort rooms being built as the place gets Walmarted more by the day.

    That's it.

I've said it for years, but you seem to have your fingers in your ears on this topic.

You don't have to be the great DVC Defender when no one is even attacking it.

Also if what that one person was true about the undercover cop on the bus the incident would of ended in a minute not 3 minutes. DO you really think that police officer would wait for security. Which one has more power?

But anyways, my whole thing is this. The guy was def in the wrong. He should never of caused a fight over a spot on the bus, there are so many disney world buses that its ridiculous to fight over one. But hey you got stupid people and they do stupid things, and then they pay the price.

my fingers may be in my ears but my eyes see just fine. I agree it's getting annoying, but by that I mean the insinuation that DVC timeshares are responsible for all the ills of WDW - you certainly know they are not.

so whether it's tongue in cheek or subliminal- you have read the threads here also and yes there is anti DVC sentiment - even if it might not be you. Why feed the fire - that's all I am asking?

exactly - everyone suffers for idiots like this. I am surprised another late night - tired guest didn't ask this guy what his problem was also-- this could have escalated far more than it did.

It feels very aggressive online when used.

I don't think I've ever waited longer than 15-20 minutes to catch a bus even at peak times. I've waited FAR LONGER to exit the Magic Kingdom area at close in my automobile than I've ever waited using Disney transit.

But yea, it is all Disney's fault. If they weren't so darn busy building DVC hotels they could buy more buses and hire more drivers. Right

How's it irrelevant? It's what Disney's focus is on these days, and if used to describe WDW, it's relevant.

What's irrelevant is the random defense or tearing down of DVC... But mentioning it? It's a integral part of WDW (be that a good thing or bad, I won't comment on) and can be used to describe it.

    That's all, really.
