I love the design of this thing, especially the Peter Pan and Brave units. I'm curious to hear the music score.

    >>>But I'm not as Disney-experienced as you guys. The only nighttime parades I know are Fantillusion and SpectroMagic.<<<

Poor Dagobert. You've seen the two worst electrical parades at Disney. DLP's lame redo of Fantillusion and Eisner's cavalcade in the Kingdom. Go to Tokyo please, or even Osaka and see USJ's Starlight Parade. Better than anything Disney has done outside Japan to date.

Interesting that the Tangled float had some clearance issues. In the concept art, it doesn't look especially tall (unlike the princess float in Soundsational, which includes the tower from the film and is quite tall). That could lend some credence to the rumors that the garlands over Main Street won't be returning for the 2014 holiday season (or they could just, you know, run the Christmas parade during that time and solve the problem, but that might just be a little too crazy)

There is a crescent moon with a partially naked Old Man (I don't think he had a name) from the pub on the top of the float. It does make it rather tall for a float that has clearance issues from parade storage to step-off.

Where does it have issues? Of the backstage parade areas I've seen (Splash gate to the storage area), there's nothing overhead, except for a couple branches ~40' up (which would be easy enough to chop off). Seems strange that there would be any sort of vertical limits backstage, other than the storage building itself

It seems strange to me that DL would be more prone to having taller floats than MK. There have been several tall floats recently at DL (Soundsational's princess and PATF units, Parade of Dreams finale), but none of the MK ones seem especially tall despite typically being larger horizontally

I've forgotten to mention MSEP, but it was a long time ago. I liked Fantillusion and it was definitely a lot better than SpectroMagic.

In the next years we will travel to Japan and I'm sure TDR will have a wonderful parade on display.

I think it's a little funny (and misleading) that they're pretending that the parade floats just drove to MK like that. They were assembled backstage from manufactured portions, and then driven into the park from there. Either way, it's neat to get a sneak peek at them, and it's rare that Disney shows floats without any performers on/near them

Then again, knowing how the videos on the Disney Parks Blog typically work, I'd say there's a decent chance that this is just some musical equivalent of a stock photo, and the real music is completely different...
