One of my fondest memories is from a particularly stormy day at Disneyland. The streets were so flooded we bought plastic wrap at Target to wrap our shoes. We had to leave in the middle of the day, go to a laundromat and dry our coats. We could/would not leave as it was our last weekend at Disneyland with our son before he was leaving for Iraq. All parades and fireworks were cancelled. At one point we went into the River Belle to eat just to get in out of the cold. But through it all we just kept laughing and drying off. The best part though, was just before closing. Everyone was done! Finished! Pau! Except my daughter and me. There was no line at the Matterhorn and we had about 5 minutes. We sent the others on their way and got on. We laughed so hard as the rain splashed our raincoats. We stayed on for a second round and I said, "Let's pull off our hoods." We did and just let the rain hit our faces. It was Disney Magic to us. BTW, we went the next day too and the weather was beautiful.
I agree that the parks can be even more magical in the rain because while everybody runs for cover my PNW webbed feet make it ideal to continue on my quest for fun and contentment.
