I am not against not cooling empty air all day either so I am OK with a timed unit as long as it can be overridden if I'm there during the day.

If they want to keep things "neutral" while I'm not there, that's one thing...but I want to decide what the conditions should be once I return..for sure!

Last week the thermostat barely worked for 15min whether or not you wanted hot or cold air at POP...That is why I stay at the Values. Why pay 250 and more to be angry. I expect very little from Disney anymore and just have to make myself happy with the Mouse!!! I was very generous with giving money to Disney for many years but not anymore. And the price at the Values is creeping up. Warning to RV/Campgrounds at the Wilderness. People were talking about the pool updates and improvements and how it was affecting the campground pricing. Also unhappy people. But hey the parks and hotels were packed!!!

It's actually not a problem on the really hot days. 76 when it's 98 outside feels like Antarctica. The problem is the other half of the year when it's 80 and humid. AC won't kick on if it's locked at 76, but it will be sticky and uncomfortable.

Disney, geothermal heating and cooling systems. Or I guess if you want to reduce green house gases you could alwasy build that Nuclear Power plant you got permission to build.

For me, it's almost always going to be around 70 degrees. And there's a huge difference to me between 70 and 76. I have no issue if they lower the temp when I am not in the room. That's fine and make sense. However, i can't agree that they should shut the thing off like they do in Europe. If you leave a Florida hotel room at 10 a.m. in June and return eight hours later sans AC, you'll likely find the temp in the room is hovering around 90 ... and it will take HOURS to cool down to any reasonable temp. That's just not acceptable to me. And I doubt most people want their room temps controlled anymore than they'd like Disney to decide what they will eat or when they should sleep/get up. At some point, it's just all a a load of bull*&%$. ~76 degrees isn't kewl and sure ain't cool~
