Comfort is a major factor for some of us folks in the real world when we travel. Its far easier and cheaper to take away creature comforts under the guise of "Conservation" rather than invest the infrastructure and often expensive High Tech means to dramatically reduce power consumption. I really view Disney's decision as a knee jerk reaction with a short sighted solution which is unheard of and unacceptable in the Hotel Industry.

With heavy emphasis on the "cheaper" part. If they're going to restrict how low I can set my room temperature, then they should also heavily discount the room. But of course, that will never happen.
