For those that don't know, Decatur is north west of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. According to her, the deal was x'd as soon as they saw how many oil wells were on the land.

Remember how they bought all the land in Florida under a variety of assumed names? And how as soon as it was revealed that it was Disney making the purchases, the cost for the surrounding land shot up sky high? I just don't see Disney coming into any area and saying "Hi, we're Disney, and we're looking to buy land".

Eventhough, her cousin is a realtor, and would know about anyone buying a large amount of land in Decatur, Disney wouldn't say it was for Disney even if they did look at land in Texas. So for this Texan who longs to see a Disney catle in the Lone Star State, until I see that castle being built, it's all just entertaining rumors.

The Frisco area Resort will be larger then the failing Six Flags set up. It will also have a very large Hotel and two smaller ones. The biggest sign will be the extended Hotels around Frisco. You will see that they are building very quickly. The new park is to have a large open air theater to go along with rock concerts and ABC television productions.

Most appraisal districts have searchable online tax rolls, including Collin County TX where Frisco is located. There's only one piece of property in the county whose owner has "Disney" in the name, and it appears to be a residence. In case "North Frisco area" is actually in the county to the north, I searched there too (in Greyson County). Nothing there owned by Disney. If you think the Disney Co owns land in these areas, please provide a link to the entry on the tax rolls that support this. This should be very easy to do. Maybe you can tell us what the name of the holding company is, or in what other county this is in, if I have those details wrong. Plus, then we'd get to see how big the plot of land is.
