Interestingly enough, Disney has always played hardball with taxi's and limo drivers on Disney property and at times that relationship has been very very tense.

I agree, that part of the restriction is garbage.

That person could be limited to the area where the shuttle busses leave from, however.

If Disney still wants to offer the service to guests who did not arrange for service before landing at MCO, then it's only fair they do so at the same level and at the same spot where others are able to offer/sell their transport services as well.

I shop there at times because they have EXCELLENT prices on over the counter drugs -- especially their Equate branded ones. I usually go there when I need Sinus Tabs, Prilosec, vitamins, whatever. While there I usually also buy a DVD or two. That, generally, is the extent of my Wal-Mart shopping. As for the decision concerning the Magical Express, I think it is only right that Disney not be given access to potential customers that no one else has. On a different issue, you can also start to question whether Disney is becoming a vertical monopoly. What’s next? DisneyAir giving reduced rate travel for people going to Orlando with Disney reservations?

Supper Shuttle is one that is found in a lot of cities and Express Shuttle is in San Diego. And they usually are less expensive than paying parking for 10 or 12 days -- plus they decrease the hassle and take you right to the terminal, etc. When I flew home from CA and my Disneyland trip in July, I ended up having to take a taxi and paying thru the nose for it -- almost $40 for about 8 miles. On the other hand my Super Shuttle trip from LAX to Anaheim was $18 including tip. When I called the Mears Shuttle desk to try to get a shuttle all she could offer me was a town car that would have cost at least $50. But Mears only does resort trips. Why don't they do local pick ups? They certainly have a way to make some money. They should quit complaining and look and see what is available in other areas of the city!!! There are other aspects to Orlando besides tourism.... BTW, someone commented about Disney and Mears in the past and Disney used to include Mears coupons in the confirmation letters & packages for out of town guests. I used to get them all the time....

According to the initial article in the newspaper, Disney is not supposed to be out until October 31..... So you still have a few more weeks for the "insanity" and they have a few more weeks to figure a way around the issue!!!

The funnly thing is, Disne contract to MEars to run the buesses, and MEars own most of the taxis and Limo and shuttles that run out of the airport. So Mears is making money either way, it is only th eDrivers how need thew tips that are loosing money. I found it odd Mears, was siding with the taxi drivers. So They get the money no matter which way the guest travels to WDW.
