Marvel will most likely be run as a separate brand much like Pixar was prior to its merger with Disney. A lot of people don't know that Miramax, which distributed "Kill Bill", is a division of Disney. Tell your cousin not to worry.

I am just asking but, why couldn't a marvel property be used instead of a some ghost/monster out of nowhere.
No differece, from my point of view.

You were the one complaining about lack of themes and storytelling, and I am tryin gto show you that Disney has never had great themes and storytelling, not in the way the haters believe... This hunky dory picture of how great Disneyland was in 1955 is just an illusion, Walt had a ton of attractions based on his movies/shows...

Either you are just being obtuse or you’ve misunderstood what I’m trying to say. I’ll assume that you’ve misunderstood.

Forget about Disneyland circa 1955. I’m primarily talking about the Disney that conjured up marvels like Tomorrowland 67, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, EPCOT, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Tokyo DisneySea.

Those parks and attractions, and a myriad of projects in-between, are examples of the excellent immersive storytelling with strong thematic elements that is the hallmark of what sets Disney apart from its competitors. Does Disney take liberty with its themes? Well of course - just look at that big pink castle at the end of Main Street.

I’m not asking for purity, I’m simply asking that Disney stay true to the intent behind the park’s thematic lands. Disney reinvented the amusement park experience by creating thoughtful and detailed environments. Sticking Spiderman (or some other Marvel character) in Space Mountain is probably inevitable, but man, is it a hard a pill to swallow.

You forget, Indiana Jones is a movie tie in, no difference than the tooning up of the parks...

But you are correct, I did misunderstand you, and there are way too many toons in the park, but just because it is toon based does not discount it from telling a story... I have high hopes for the Cars Land being built in DCA....

I never said that I was opposed to movie tie-ins. I think that the scale has tipped too far in favor of them, but I don't think a few here and there are bad.
