I have no doubt that the stuff will make it to the parks, someday, but not right away, especially when you think of all that backlog development they have of other things right now. With all the attention to do-over of DCA, the new lands for HKDL, the TL and FL plans for DL, WDW rumored (maybe close to confirmed) FL makeover, the Paris and Tokyo parks getting a few new Pixar stuff in the next 2-3 years, its obvious they dont even have room on their schedule to suddenly throw in a bunch of out of place characters rides at the moment even if they want to. I dont see anything more than merchandise and maybe a few character photo ops in DCA and the studio parks in the near future and I mean a few years at least. I dont envision an actual attraction anytime within the next 5 years if that. MAYBE stuff can get fast tracked for the new Shanghai park I'm guessing, but thats it maybe. I think people are getting a little frantic over nothing in terms of the theme park stuff when its probably the film development and the licensing fees in the first place to everyone else that is most enticing since all that is proven hits. The other stuff can come later.

Or Zac Efron will now be Spider-Man. However there's a pretty good podcast over on IGN that discusses the deal. And all of the editors seem to really like the deal. It's the IGN Comics podcast if anyone is interested.

Now that Disney owns Marvel you can be certain that any pending deals for the use of Marvel characters there will be scrutinized by Disney very carefully. http://www.google.com/hostedne...9A9BQKO0

Then I'm afraid that you've missed the point. When something is deemed too expensive for a corporation it means (in one sense) that the investment isn't likely going to yield the kind of returns that management would like to see. This is why most of the development you see at DLR is happening outside DL's gates. Disney is investing in project that it believes will yield the biggest financial results.

And it's not likely that they're going to do it with those 4,000+ "other" characters that no one has ever heard of. They're going to want a blockbuster summer movie - that's where the real coin is. Once that hits, then the plush toys and walk-arounds will start to gain some traction.
