All the ruling said is that Disney has to go back to court and show the reasons why they don't want Segways in the park. I'm sure they've got this.

If they don't, then maybe it's not such a bad idea. ;-)

There aren't enough Segways in California to overrun the place.

Thanks for providing additional information. As I said at the beginning, there seemed to be some details missing in the first article. I don't think that journalism in America could get any worse than it is today.

Maybe they should give reporters Segways so they could travel around a bit more to cover stories and get the whole picture for a change.

I think people are joking. There ARE Segways in the park, ridden by employees. IIRC, they used to give demonstrations to guests as well before the Lawyerketeers put a stop to it. And wasn't there some sort of Segway DCA tour a while back?

Yes... inside Innoventions at Epcot in an area free of any other traffic. They also used to offer a Segway Tour but it was held in the World Showcase BEFORE that section of the park opened for the day.

There is no more journalism in America, only political spin doctors. Journalists are arrogant snobs.

Yes, there was also a Segway tour in DCA. It was given before park opening. I believe it was stopped when all the contruction walls went up. It'll be interesting to see if Disney will begin the tours again now that the walls are down. However, with the park's earlier opening hour now, it's doubtful.

I have gotten ran into rails by parents with strollers and then given dirty looks. Ironcially it is the toddler in the stroller who tells me sorry.
I also think what are we teaching children when we act like maniacs at Disneyland. Disney can adopted most city parks including zoos have adopted. If you need a segway bring it with you. I can see them not banning them, but renting them would be a huge liability. Wheelchair and ECV rental is sufficent for the general public.

allowing them in the park is too. The risk of them falling on a kid, going too fast and not being able to stop in time. It would only take one time and the park would be sued for allowing them and the person using it should be sued.

Great example they are too fast to be allowed in a crowed place.

now if it's one like this then no prob

"I have gotten ran into rails by parents with strollers"

Sadly there are rude people that do this to every one chair or able to walk.
