But you may be right in that the lines might not end up shorter. If the single line averaged 60 minutes before, then you'd think the new split lines would be 30 minutes apiece. And then people, seeing only a 30 minute line, might tend to go ahead and jump on, eventually making TWO 60 minute lines. I'll bet the final truth will be somwhere between these two extremes. But as twice the people will be able to ride per hour, more people will be able to enjoy the ride. And overall that seems to be a good thing.

But then, on my visit to Disneyland with my late mother a few years ago, the one thing she really wanted to do was Dumbo. And the look on her face as she was flying high was a greatly cherished memory!

Just saying that they were in reality looking at increasing capacity, not shortening wait times.

As a Carousel would be if it sat next to an identical Carousel, something also is lost when you put a carbon copy right next to it. The biggest issue I have is they blew the opportunity to entirely re-think the raceway area and the transition into what's left of a Tomorrowland theme. The Toontown re-do should have absolutely been tied to a new concept for the raceway.

Tents with shops/Meet and Greets, a Goofy-themed coaster, and a water playground to replace Donald's Boat.

More than likely you won't have much of a view of what is occurring in the tents or outside in the rest of the new mini-land. I think it's a big mistake. These rides are meant to be viewed from the "Midway" Maybe there will be less of a tree barrier between it and the main walkway...

But that shouldn't be the test on whether something is designed well or is a good initiative. The Pooh playground was enjoyed by kids, they didn't care what it replaced or why it existed. That doesn't stop folks from acknowledging that it was an inferior offering that is now thankfully being replaced.

Yes, content-wise it isn't an improvement, however the appearance and retheming of this area appears to be a big improvement. I look at it the same way as I look at the current changes to DCA: aside from Carsland, which is the only expansion, it's mostly cosmetic, yet the impact its having on the look and feel of the place is significant.

Look, I can't even remember the last time I even looked at Dumbo while in one of the parks, but I can understand why Disney is dedicated time and energy on this because the attraction is hugely popular among families with small children. Would I prefer that Disney spend money on some fabulous new E ticket at the MK? Yes, of course, however I see nothing wrong with upgrading classic attractions too. "Dumbo's circus? Not sure what you saw in the picture. All I see is trees and tents." I also see a small roller coaster and a Casey Jr themed water playground along with a depot for the WDW RR.
