THIS. Hate the raceway... noisy, smelly, ugly, doesn't fit it's land...

Thanks! And Hans does have a valid point. Cosmetics go a long way.

Sure, I thought you were speaking towards what can be seen while riding the future Dumbo rather than it's past view aesthetic in Fantasyland. In my eyes, the future ride will really not offer a view of the items you list above.

I learned long ago not to trust concept art. I don't expect much of a cosmetic change to the existing area.

That's the weirdest thing I've heard all week. Two Dumbo rides? W-E-I-R-D.

I am another one who thinks that it is a downgrade to Dumbo because it does take away the wonderful Fantasyland view. And while a lot of little ones might not notice, I think it still adds something for them as well. Shouldn't kinds be exposed to good design? That is how they learn how to appreciate it fully once they are grow up.

It looks like DL circa 1955.

I'm sure it really puts-off the guests who walk by it on their way to Hunny Hunt.

I would not want to miss it from Fantasyland there.

TDL has probably the most illogical and bizarre placement of the HM at any Disney park. At the very least they could have redesigned the exterior so that it fit in with the whimsical Fantasyland surroundings. With everything considered that park has the ugliest Fantasyland in my opinion.

Yep, and looking at those images of the beautiful Fantasyland in France with its extravagant design and lush landscaping you kind of get an idea of what WDI might be trying to achieve in Florida. Nope, the New Fantasyland won't have much in the way of eye-popping technological breakthroughs, but at least the land will finally have a more immersive atmosphere and theming that people expect from Disney.

Agreed. It will be a much needed improvement design-wise, at least in the area behind the castle. I am not yet convinced about the circus land, but will keep an open mind about it and hope to be pleasantly surprised.

And 4 of them will be in the same park.

Well, you can't really count those two dumbos as two different rides. They are one ride like all the simulators at Star Tours: Most people would not even count the two different levels at Mission: Space as two rides (even though those really vary from each other) or the two sides of Space Mountain as two coasters (even though they are technically).

And the Astro Orbiter is actually a great ride in my opinion. The views are spectacular!

Sorry Bolna. Not even close. The good natured ribbing from the DL regulars is well deserved. As I mentioned earlier, I agree that it is indeed Weird and Strange that there will be two dumbos. It's over the top and places function well beyond form.

Unlike your examples that don't really impact the visual experience of the guest while riding. Having two Dumbos out in the open is different. I would agree with folks counting them as (2) of the (5)

At least some coasters that have two 'sides' will offer different experiences, Matterhorn, Dueling Dragons, various wooden coasters

Good point. While you guys out West want to razz us on WDW's latest screwball addition, at least the park still offers the jets in their proper place.
