All that matters is that the addicts can get that next ride (7,438 but who's counting?) on Pirates or Space or Splash or Thunder Mtn. And this move/promotion may get derided by the fans, but I don't see anyone "giving up" the parks because of it. Certainly not in Florida, where it would appear things will continue their current course.

The APers over there could really change things again.

I guess we'll just have to see. It's a little perplexing that she will continue to hold the reins as President of WDW and be the President of Disney's European and North American theme parks. I have to think that eventually a replacement will be found to run the operations at WDW.

It's the same job with less international oversight (she isn't responsible for the Asia parks). The odd part is that she's still the President of WDW.

Wait, I thought Crofton was the President of WDW and reported to Weiss who was President of Worldwide Operations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Before that role he was WDW's President but he did not hold both positions simultaneously. "Karl gets DVC..." Ooops. I overlooked that.

Reminds me of a story in Latin class when an old lady was the only one praying for a long life for the ruling tyrant - upon being questions (they suspected her of mocking the ruler) she answered that after having experienced that a tyrant would always be followed by one even more cruel and since she could not bear one even more cruel than the current one, she would rather pray for long life of the current ruler.

I can very well imagine the comments about how Meg wasn't able to acchieve anything because she had Al Weiss holding her back. But now that she is in charge we see all these wonderful things that are going to happen! We have seen it when Bob Iger was made CEO. So many people just wanted to believe so badly that everything would be wonderful from now on and that everything would change now. Well, we see how that has worked out so far.
