I realize this is getting off-topic, but can someone explain to me whey they make you show up so early for WOC with the FastPass and make you stand for the last 20 minutes? I honestly couldn't figure out what the benefit was to doing this when we were all corralled quite orderly and had our spots. All it did was make me wish I had that blanket! LOL!

    Exactly my point.

First off, I don't watch DL parades, watch Fantasmic or hang around to watch fireworks. But I don't understand the blanket issue. The parade watchers are corraled in by the ropeline on the sidewalk and the curb.

In other words, the parade goers are not in my way if I travel Main Street USA.

Why are we PRESUMING these are locals? What difference does it make?? Stop the discrimination if you don't have the facts.

The issue is the BLANKETS ON THE GROUND or the CROWDS. NOT who is sitting on them and what they possess, are wearing or not.

They might not me, but I bet they are. Fantasmic groupies. Shoot, there are Billy Hill groupies who grab prime tables and stay there for every show.

This is what has kept us away since 2008. Everytime I think of a trip to DLR I am reminded of how much it will cost and how crowded it will be. So far the needle remains tilted towards the "not worth it" side of the scale. Maybe once the DCA improvements are finished we will return."

Nice to meet you, tooth fairy, Santa Claus and Jebus.

I say that because according to some people here, you don't exist!

Apparently people are NOT being kept away because of the selfish actions of the APers that need a fourth visit this week, because three evenings at DL are not enough!

Thank you for helping prove my point, although I am sad it has kept you away.

Amazing. That stuff just didn't happen before APs blew up.

Once upon a time, the fireworks show used to take place way up in the sky, so pretty much wherever you were in the park, you could just stop and look up and enjoy the show.

I'd like them to go back to that again at least for a few years instead of making the fireworks shows so castle-centric, requiring people to jam onto Main Street for the only vantage point to see the show.

In this case, and as you have said, it is up to Park Management to set the "ground rules" (pun aside) and not allow trip hazards at least until the crowd control ropes are in place.

In fact, I am prone to believe that park personnel would do just that.

    AND

I never blow up, infact I have more of a small continuous leak.

It happens to more important stories. Several months ago the headline was, "Man shot over bus fare evasion." Basically, the guy was being approached for evading the fare on the bus and he took off. Police eventually killed him. But it turns out the guy was wanted for a murder and he had a gun.

    Whoops.
