Are you going to make that one of your Disney 365 pictures -em? :)

I'm all for it as long as it was done in good taste, and to express an artistic view point.

One question about a "centralized" system (or a system that allows a pass for any ride to be pulled from any FP machine) - is Disney posting monitors with standby wait times near the machines? Having that type of information would seem to be vital to a process that would help to distribute guests to the various attractions as opposed to all of them gobling up FPs for a single one. For instance, if the standby line at EE was only 15 mins then it would seem unnecessary to get an FP for that ride so you get one for KS or KRR later and go to EE now.

I still agree with those that think the whole FP system is much more a marketing "shell game" than it is a real benefit to actually decreasing total wait times for guests. But the die has been cast by Disney and they will probably stick with this program now that that have put so much investment into it. And the temptation will always be there for some accountant to say "if we just asked each resort guest for another $10 a day for a chance to hold two FPs at the same time, how much more money do you think we'd make?" And some suit might eventally agree .......

Does WDW have a different time difference on its machines than DL? It seems like in DL you never get a FP for less than an hour and a half away from the current time, but the entire time I was in WDW we were getting FP's for around 35-45 min away from the current time. I know that they are different issues in the two places (physical distance between attractions, how well guests know the system, etc), but it just seems strange that they would have such a difference in the way the systems are set.

Naturally....... the WDW guest is less theme park savvy and discriminate than on the west side and Tokyo. Per capita it looks like Disneyland and absolutely TDR has a stronger home crowd/fan base who knows park intricacies.

This is why WDW can charge more while offering less...... WDW sees multitudes of international ignorant travelers and those who show up too infrequently to cause a boycott/stir or question what Disney serves them----

---- on the whole it's just easier to "pull the wool over the WDW guests' eyes".

Or maybe could it just possibly be that despite all of the bitching and moaning in online forums, WDW still somehow manages to deliver enough to warrant continuing visits? There's no doubt that the Disney company is getting greedy, and value in some areas isn't what it used to be. But in other areas it's still a terrific deal, and still a fun place to visit.

I get cheesed when people make me out to be some kind of idiot because I continue to visit WDW. I know what my dollar is buying, and I'll continue to visit as long as I can still perceive that I'm getting my money's worth.

I don't. I love WDW and I'll keep on going. The DVC resorts alone make it worth it for me. The parks will be what they are and in a worse case scenario still are better than most places.

That's my take as well *AND* I feel Disney finds it easier to pull fast ones in Orlando compared to Dl.

This is why Disney's pitiful MGM performed nicely even with its woeful lineup in '89 whereas DCA did't do very well(or at least as well as they thought it would).

I have impeccable taste. It would have included a LE pin too.

I also like one picture a day. There is a thing called overkill.

I see it with people on other sites taking pics of the DCA lagoon construction. Where maybe 4-5 would suffice, you get dozens.

And yes, I've talked to that other (male) photographer about taking 17 pictures of the same thing, same angle, same time of day. He's responded that he serves many media outlets and wants to give them the best flexibility. I just don't buy it - it's all about photo count with him. Ah well, we all gotta have a hobby . . .
