You'd think there'd be a correlation between line waits and sidewalk crowds. Not anymore.>> FastPass contributes to the park feeling more crowded. When people use FP, they have to go somewhere will they are waiting in that virtual line.

I also read time and time again that if Disney keeps raising the price of APs, it will bring the AP crowd down to a manageable level. That might be true...if only Disney were of the same mindset. But, they are not. They want more, more, and more APs. It's obvious by all of these promotions and ads around the park. Anyway, I'll stop getting one when it hits an even $1000. And as far as being disappointed in the crowds (too busy, so some of you don't want to go anymore). That's not gonna change. I hate crowds, but I don't find it unbearable, just really crowded. But, I don't travel thousands of miles and spend thousands of dollars, so I can see where some of you would be discouraged from going.

After the next December visit I will be spending my tourist dollars in San Diego at the zoo, wild animal park and Seaworld. Disneyland is just getting too crowded for us out of staters to spend thousands of dollars for a weeks vacation. Ever since they instituted the monthly pay it has been too much. I love Disneyland but I love a relaxing vacation more so I will head an hour and a half south. Plus I am retired military so it will be less expensive hotel wise.

Reading things Al and Darkbeer have said, the summer peak day crowds may be smaller than off peak days with full AP access. I know Premiums and Deluxes can still get into the parks on those days, but let's face it, they aren't really the bulk of the problem.
