I wasn't sure about the price either, but it is an longer this year, and in Disneyland. I also sat down and figured out how much dinner at the Blue Bayou would be for us now that both my children are over 9 (which I consider an odd age to decide to charge them as an adult for food). $30 Average Dinner price $3 Drinks $8 Dessert $41 Per Person $164 Approx Total $14 Approx Tax $32 Tip, 18% $210 We voted and decided to skip the Blue Bayou and do the Halloween Party this year. Yes we will still have to buy dinner, but it will be at one of the quick service counters instead.

So if you want to see them, you have to pay extra. AND the party price took a huge jump this year, adding to the difficulty in justifying it. I do think those who go will have a fairly uncrowded evening, as I don't think many folks want to pay this year's price. Honestly, I haven't gone back since the first year, since I didn't think it was worth much more than the $15 I paid then.

WDW used this line for the most recent Star Tours Event. Unbelievable crowds and very expensive. So I predict crowds the closer you get to the actual Holiday date.(Oct31) Does anybody know the official policy if the fireworks are cancelled for the event? I know one year WDW gave rainchecks but it was for a day at the Magic Kingdom and not for another party night. So it was useless to me as a passholder.

If people want to pay extra for a smaller crowd then that is up to the individual. The fireworks could still be held on other nights for those of us willing to be stepped/poured on. This is just for me!!!!!! Some of the magic has been lost with this turn of events.

When WoC was canceled, irate dining package purchasers were told that the show was just a freebie with their dinner - no compensation was required. Note that Disney called it a dinner *package* tho!

Why not at least do believe or better yet, since they've known for months now that they are going to make Screams and exclusive show, why not make a halloween show for the regular days.

It's the main selling point for people who want to go to the event but don't have kids to dress up and take Trick or Treating.

If it was then So Cal passes, monthly payment options, and a whole host of other things, including APs in general would be considered discrimination, as well. dsny1mom
Originally Posted By Dr Hans Reinhardt "I do not begrudge their need to make a profit. But, again, to me, this borders on discrimination." I think you're getting it backwards. This is a private party with a hard ticket - they aren't just charging extra at the door for you to watch fireworks.
