But it would be sooooo cool to see you guys!!!

Given Mocha's op came to $1500, we may need to rethink our Disney trip now. Thank you for all the input folks.

The hotel choices from most expensive to cheapest (plus opinions are:

Disneyland Hotel - at the entrance to DLP, is like a smaller version of the Grand Floridian. California Grill restaurant, while no Napa Rose, is the finest dining in DLP. DLH have character greeting hot and cold breakfasts and 1 fastpass a day included.

One big bonus when it is crowded is you do not have to go through security to get into the parks.

Price is between 500 - 800 per person per night.

In winter there is an outdoor ice rink, and tennis is offered indoors. Fantastic service in here. The restaurants used to be great but they have ruined them lately - went downscale. Booo. Great service and size however.

Aimed at conferences, so very businesslike, but that makes the character experience very good.

However, there are not enough cast members, elevators, or restaurants for a hotel this size, so it is a glorified moderate in my eyes. No room service unless you stay on the admiral's floor. Personally, we have had 3 sub par to bad experiences here. The two restaurants are very good, one of the few places in Europe where we can get clam chowder!

Prices are about 350 to 400 per person per night.

Sequoia Lodge, offers the best value in my opinion. It is the only one designed by a Europian.Inspiration for Wlderness Lodge, this one is not as big or grand, but it is a nice moderate with the best pool in walking distance of the parks. The hotel is split in two, the Montana Rooms in the main lodge, and the cabins in the back (moderate hotel rooms with no fridges or air con). The restaurants used to great, but they have made then more stupid buffets. Booo. Good choice hotel however. Works out about 200 to 300 per person per night.

It is fun if on a budget and Disney is a must. The prices are 180 to 220 pppn. Restaurant is now a bbq buffet rather than the old food court.

Slightly cheaper across the river is the Sant Fe, a post modern pueblo design, complete with cacti, rusty jalopies, 's Clint Eastwood at the drive in parking lot, and a UFO. Many people think it is ugly, it is certainly the most abstract and cerebral design. All the ameneties are pretty much the same as the Cheyenne, but about 20 to 40 pppn cheaper.

There 3 other hotel areas for non disney options. Val d Europe (think European version of Celebration complete with one of Europe's cheapest malls and a sea life centre aquarium). There are budget (relatively), self catering and a business hotel on offer. I have never stayed here, but UKFAN has tried many and can advise.

2nd are is the new hotel area with the Kyriad (think business budget) Holiday Inn (used to be fab value, but prices now up to 290 a night), the very lovely Dreamcastle, and the very poor Explorers. Thse 4 share buses.

And the 3rd option is the Golf Course area (golf DIsneyland Paris offers 27 excellent holes). There is the Marriott Vacation Club with a lovely french impressionism village feel. 2 bedroom luxury villas, great pool and spa. Between 600 to 800 per house per night not inc breakfast or passes (be warned, there is no restaurant and only a few shuttles - but we love it). We would stay here, but we used our week in Newport Beach at MVCI earlier this year.

Also there is the 4 star Radisson SAS about 600 to 1000 a night excluding bed and breakfast.

Any questions, just ask. I think between the UKFAN posse and the baloos, we have done every hotel and restaurant in the area!

    Hope that's useful.

Great news about the Kyriad Kiz. Thanks to your link, we may well buy APs again and stay off site! £286 ($572) is a lot easier to chew.
