Sadly though I can't put a Dream Pass Holder in each room. What's slightly annoying is that some of my party will be buying them once they are there. Without the discounts it's coming up about £175 dearer than the Kyriad so I'm working out the finances now. Whilst the lack of a pool will ne disappointing I think the kids (5 under 8) will enjoy the theme of the Cheyenne most. Especially as they are all big Toy Story fans. THe bunk beds are a plus too. We have been thinking of setting off on the Monday and having a leisurely drive down, staying overnight somewhere on the Monday night and then continuing to DLP. I know the adults would like to visit some of the war memorials as we have relatives mentioned on some of them. Dave, do you have any other suggestions? Where would be good to stay (cheaply)? I assume you're talking Bank Holiday week at DLP, if so we'll be there at the same time again! I swear it's a coincidence!!!

Get the passes processed and enjoy the park for a bit, then head back to the hotel in the afternoon, check in and go for a swim. That's the plan currently - the booking office said this would be fine. So provided everyone has an AP before you check in, hopefully you should be good (unless then need the numbers for booking - they took my current number when I booked this stay). As for near the battle field - I presume you are referring to the WWI fields in Ypres and Somme? Again, Arras where we are staying is quite near (and Lille is ok, with more choices of where to stay). I like the Holiday Inn Express - coming in at £51 a night inc. breakfast, but of course the F1, ETAP and Ibis are all over France and cheap.

The problem with the AP thing is that my number cannot book four rooms (there are no Fantasy discounts available). I think the maximum is 2. Do you think I could get away with 2 bookings? I'm wondering that if those that wanted to buy Dream Passes ordered by post we would get the numbers to book the stay?!!!

As for kid friendly options, we love Nautiscaa in Bolougne. It is an increadible aquarium, better than the Sea Life Centers really. Our kids are wierd though, as they enjoy the war sites too. Another interesting place is La Capole Missile Museum near St Omar, as well as the Horse Museum in Chantilly.

Etap is better with your own ensuites however. Personally I find once a family is over 3 people in a room, then the Holiday Inn's, Mercures and Novotels offer better value, but they are more expensive.

I wouldn't want them to be disrespectful. How my sister copes with 3 boys under 5 I'll never know!!!
