Yeah, I get that money is an issue, but even something like Star Wars Weekends or (as much as they're overused) a Marvel "festival" etc. would feel like a step in the right direction. I'm not bothered about how they bring Marvel to the parks, but knowing that at some point this will be a likely first step to updating the backlot I just wish they'd get on with it so it feels like we're moving forward!!!

Something like Star Wars Weekend would be great at DLP, but unfortunately Star Tours is in the wrong park. such a festival would be perfect at WDSP, but not at the already very busy DLP.

I guess it's still the money why they aren't doing such festivals. And I'm not sure if it would attract enough new people to justify the costs.

One thing that stood out to me was the umbrellas for shade at the meet & greets are really well themed to the characters. At the US parks, they're typically something that looks fine with the surroundings, but not really related to the character. It's fun to see the polka dot ones for Minnie and the weird one for Jack and Sally

I was surprised by those details as well. Usually I don't expect that from DLP, but recently they are trying harder.

That's definitely true, there isn't anything new on the horizon, except for Rat. But I think the resort is now in better hands than before.

To quote a different franchise, "Make it so"!!!

I'm also a bigger fan of this franchise, but maybe I would also attend a SW Weekend since I really like the OT.

Those parade floats are new, right? Built from the remains of the Fantillusion floats? They look really nice, especially for a seasonal parade!

I'm still not sure I understand what they're doing to the temple; perhaps something got lost in translation. It's very curious to me that they would rebuild the temple out of actual stone, rather than concrete like every other outdoor structure that Disney's ever done. Stone is generally more expensive to shape and install (and a whole heck of a lot heavier), so it just seems out of the ordinary

Everything I've read so far only talks about the temple itself, but would they also replace the track? I remember it being a pretty rough ride, so a new track might help smooth it out. Then again, at that point maybe they could just build an entirely new ride

I took the word "stone" to mean that they were going to use concrete or something similar and more resilient.

I can also imagine that they will use bricks.
