I'm just glad that the HSM overlay is gone, but I agree, Iron Man looks a bit cheap.

If it is because of safety reasons, then DLP must have some serious issues with their workers. I mean the boat was recently, I think two years ago, rebuilt from scratch.

With all the fall protection stuff going on at DL, I wonder if it's related, though Paris would obviously have different laws about that (and I don't see how the top deck is any less safe than the middle one in that scenario) Have they finished up repairing/rebuilding the other boat (Mark Twain??) yet? It was in drydock when I was there, but I haven't heard anything about it returning

And DLP has been known to throw PAY FOR halloween parties as well in addition to the daytime stuff. But regardless...Halloween being an european tradition, it should be DLP the park that does it best, and they have done a great job in the past couple of years. I also like that TDL does a toony Halloween fit for families and kids, while HKDL explores a darker more sinister side unique to their park, and pushes the envelope in regards to what we think a Disneyland park should offer in a seasonal event. Those halloween parties at MK and DL.. well for $60 a pop.. they are too crowded and a huge yawn.

Originally Posted By FerretAfros >>Not to mention the HUGE temple in Adventureland that looks like it was going to hold both a minecar coaster and the Indiana Jones jeeps<< I could be mistaken, but I believe that DLP was originally supposed to get a version of Indiana Jones Adventure, like DL and TDL. I vaguely recall hearing that they even poured some of the foundations in that back corner of Adventureland. When the park failed to meet its early goals, they scrambled and quickly built the roller coaster, but my impression was that they always intended to go back and finish the Indy mini-land back there. If you look at an aerial image, there's plenty of room to build something on the scale of DL's Indy >>Halloween being an european tradition, it should be DLP the park that does it best...<< I know that Halloween has European roots, but it seems like what they're celebrating at DLP is much more similar to the American version of the holiday. Either way, I really appreciate the unique approach that they take at each resort

I'm sure it will be popular, since the Cars movies are inexplicably popular, but it's just not for me. The Sequoia and Newport Bay look much better, but I still don't care for the characters inserted into the decor

"Frozen" will be called "Die Eiskönigin" over here, which means "The Ice Queen" or "The Snow Queen". I just don't get why they used a new German name instead of the original Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale name, on which the movie is based. "Die Schneekönigin" (The Snow Queen) is the German name of the book. And "Tangled" was just called "Rapunzel", like the book.

Originally Posted By dagobert >>>The difference in the German names could be to differentiate the movie from other versions of the same story that already exist?!!!<<< Could be, but usually Disney Germany used the names of the books for the movies. Usually I don't care, but I was glad that they used Rapunzel instead of a stupid name like Tangled. Another example for strange Disney movie names is the new Thor movie. In English it is called "Thor: The Dark World" and in German it is called "Thor: The Dark Kingdom". They are using an English title for the movie in Germany and change it. "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will be called "The Return Of The First Avenger" over here. I really hate the English titles. Is it so hard to come up with a good German name?
