I thought the same. It's interesting that Member WDW1974 over at WDWMagic mentioned the following:

    >>>The Star Wars project for DLP is a go. It is two-phased, unfortunately, so gotta hope a Phase II actually gets done. But it does look good and that park, as amazing as it is, needs more attractions ... <<<

Fine with me on Pirates. If Jack Sparrow never ends up in that ride I'll be so happy.

Me too. I wouldn't mind if he never gets added to DLP. I guess that's the only good thing about DLP's bad financial situation.

However I have to admit that I wasn't bothered that much as well when I saw Jack at WDW.

Even at DL, where they have tons of regulars and they gave out about 3,000 pairs for free to APers, it hasn't been a roaring success. It's a very neat gimmick, but just hasn't caught on large-scale. I think the main problems are that they're kind of expensive, and they're not terribly comfortable (the batteries make it a little awkward), and (most importantly) the people wearing them don't even get to 'enjoy' what they add to the show.

I would like to see them adapt the same technology to turn off everybody's light-up toys as they enter attractions. There's nothing worse than a flashing necklace a few cars down in the Haunted Mansion ballroom...

Agreed they look good with a large crowd, but it could be embarrassing if there's only a handful of people.

I think the price point will put people off!!!

I guess they are much more popular in the US and it seems the visitors over there are more willing to wear them. I wouldn't wear them.

It bothers me the least there, but it's also the worst Pirates there is. It bothered me in DL, and it would drive me crazy in DLP, as the DLP version is by far my favorite and one of my favorite Disney rides ever (along with DHS's ToT and DLP's BTMRR).

Yup, I saw none in DLP when I was there in April.

And I saw no one wearing the Glow with the Show ears at DLR in November when I was there.

This was quite awhile ago though. You're much more likely to find Sorceror Mickey or Goofy hats at DLP!!!

I have such a Sorcerer Mickey hat with ears, but I wouldn't wear it in the park.

Discussions about the shows (or lack thereof): no news but they are discussing, reviewing and planning. No details!
Dreams: no plans to cancel, lots of ideas and concepts. No details!
The general theme was that we are in a consolidation process with budgetary constraints.
Lots of plans for Hallowe'en and Christmas. Again no details just promises of big ideas!

I am very impressed by M. Gas' enthusiasm and passion. I do believe that better times are ahead!<<<
