Sorry for the bad English, but I had to use Google translator. My French isn't that good anymore. >>>Northeastern tip of the ZAC Studios and Congress, we will had outlined in 2011 and they have not changed much. So we find the convention center on the site of the existing parking, expansion of Disney Village with the drilling of a new street, the creation of a new hotel (in progress), the possible extension of Disneyland hotel, continuation of Walt Disney Studios, and the opening of a new flagship station at the exit of Disney Village. Beyond Phase IV, a second hotel could also be created between the Newport Bay Club and Disney Village.<<< I really hope DLP is expanding and refurbing V. In its current version it just doesn't look very nice.

I'm glad they are adding some new Disney elements to the Halloween season. I find the ghosts and pumpkin men so generic and boring. They could be in any theme park anywhere. I like the new parade float. It's fun to see some more unusual characters being used. I assume the Wolf will be walking the route nearby otherwise it would seem a bit odd to have just the pigs in a Halloween parade. I like that Daisy is being featured too since she's so often in the sidelines. That said, it would have to be something much more interesting to make me visit at Halloween again. Never before have I seen crowds that size at DLP and hope I never do again!!!

I wonder if it will be permanent and/or if they'll bring it back in future years I must say that I really appreciate that these photo updates seem to cover the entire resort area. For the US parks, it's not hard to find photo updates, but very few of them venture outside of the parks, especially in WDW where so much is outside the parks

OK, so maybe drastically limit the decorations then? Honestly, who wants to go to a park with such visibly dilapidated buildings and features just to look at orange bunting, and faux pumpkins? Why build Maleficent's Court when you've got resort icons in such a terrible state of decay? I'm practically on my knees praying that the new DLP manager(s) will set better priorities for the resort.

Sadly, I'm sure the official answer would be that the money comes from different budgets, but yeah, have a few less vines and a few more attractions/restaurants open full-time let alone refurb stuff. Mind you... I do really like the pirate pumpkins!!!

Originally Posted By FerretAfros >>Honestly, who wants to go to a park with such visibly dilapidated buildings and features just to look at orange bunting, and faux pumpkins?<< Maybe the bad maintenance is supposed to be "creepy" theming for Halloween. In a twisted way, it almost makes sense...until it still looks like that for the other 10.5 months of the year
Originally Posted By dagobert Honestly you all are a bit overreacting here. DLP is currently investing half a billion euros in maintenance. All hotels are getting a makeover and the hotels, which are already done, look great. The castle got renovated and never looked better. Molly Brown got rebuilt from scratch. Over the summer the Discoveryland Lagoon got refurbed. In Fantasyland they replaced the ugly floor with real cobble stones. The same happened at Fantasia Gardens in front of DLH and at the WDSP entrance. DLP re-did the resort hub and put cobble stones there as well. Indiana Jones got rebuilt from scratch. WDI replaced the fake stone with real ones. Crush's Coaster got a refurb last year. In addition to all this hotel and park refurbs, DLP managed to build Ratatouille. I know there is still a long way to go and DLP is far from being perfect, but it's doing a lot better. One last word to Mark Twain and the geysers. I really hope that the ship gets the same treatment like Molly Brown two years ago and gets rebuilt from scratch. I think we weren't supposed to see the Mark Twain in its current state. However I'm glad someone caught it on a photo, because it puts some pressure on the management to fix it. The geysers will never come back. The area looks terrible, but according to former CEO Gas they will be replaced with something else. TWDC put DLP in that misery when they created the resort and now the company should step up and help. They made a first step with taking over the debts, but it needs more.
